The International Livestock Fair in Togo (SELT) is a pivotal gathering for livestock professionals in Africa. From March 26 to 28, 2024, Togo will host prominent stakeholders and experts in livestock and agro-supply from around the world. This three-day event aims to showcase and present the latest solutions and innovations addressing the challenges of livestock farming in Togo and across Africa.

This initiative, led by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Rural Development, follows the signing of an agreement last September in Rennes, France, between Jeff Amegbo, the head of the Togolese firm Midex, and Anne-Marie Quémener, General Commissioner of SPACE, the largest international livestock fair in Europe.

Indeed, SPACE (Livestock Production Fair - European Hub) is an international professional fair that brings together all stakeholders in livestock, covering various sectors such as cattle (milk and meat), poultry, pork, rabbit breeding, sheep, goat, aquaculture, and many others. It is worth noting that SELT will be organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Rural Development, by the Midex firm in collaboration with SPACE.

This fair will mark a starting point for the emergence of livestock farming in Africa. It will serve as a showcase for the enhancement and promotion of the livestock sector, acting as a converging point for livestock farmers, suppliers of products and services in the field, innovations, as well as researchers and experts in livestock from the West African sub-region and beyond.

Over 300 international exhibitors and 50,000 visitors are expected, featuring presentations of 100 animal breeds and 20 planned conferences and symposiums. Stand reservations have already begun and will continue until February 15, 2024.
